About the Event
PEMA presents Jen Stackhouse, Ben Stanphill, P.E., and Andrew Leavitt, P.G. will present an update on DTSC’s holistic approach to vapor intrusion. They will address some of the challenges encountered when assessing, mitigating, and remediating vapor intrusion sites, including and regulatory perspectives on recent developments on vapor intrusion sites. Special topics will include lessons learned screening projects, using multiple lines of evidence to create site specific approaches, and current perspectives on cleanup strategies, mitigation, and long-term monitoring.
Mr. Ben Stanphill, P.E. is a Professional Civil Engineer with 17 years of experience in environmental site characterization and remediation, both as a Principal Engineering at Arcadis U.S. Inc., a global design and consulting firm, and the Southern California Division Chief at the California Environmental Protection Agency Department of Toxic Substances Control. A graduate of Harvey Mudd College, Mr. Stanphill has performed numerous vapor intrusion evaluations and has designed and operated remediation and mitigation systems…
