This year’s seminar brings together industry leaders and innovators to share the latest solutions in remediation—including cutting-edge PFAS treatment technologies and site cleanup strategies.
Keynote Spotlight: The State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Financial Assistance (DFA) will present on the Orphan Site Cleanup Fund (OSCF)—a transformative program driving petroleum cleanups, community redevelopment, and environmental justice across California. Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to meet OSCF managers and senior staff in person and learn how to participate in the program.
Registration includes breakfast, lunch, and networking happy hour.
Publication:
Accepted abstracts will be published in the Seminar Program and available to all attendees. Presentation slides will be shared with attendees upon request and with the presenters' permission.

PEMA Abstract Guidance
Purpose of PEMA Remediation Seminar Event:
The PEMA Remediation Seminar Event provides a platform for participants to share insights on good environmental practices, emerging innovative remediation projects, and topical issues in the field of remediation for all media (air, soil, and water).
Abstract Submission Guidelines:
To be considered, submissions should outline the initiative, practice, or issue being showcased and its relevance to environmental remediation. Abstracts must be well-written, clear, and concise. Submissions with a pronounced commercial or marketing tone will not be accepted.
Review Criteria
Abstracts will be reviewed by the Seminar Committee based on the following criteria:

Adherence to the required submission structure

Originality of the practice/research/topic

Contribution to new knowledge in environmental remediation
Presentation Details:
Presenters will be allocated 25 minutes, including Q&A time. Suggested presentation structure:
